Beware! Final Girls is a scary read that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time and maybe awake at night. You will try to untangle the webs that Riley Sager spins throughout his narrative, but I’m not sure you will make it out in time. Sager is a brilliant horror writer. All of his descriptions drip with murderous imagery, so if that gives you the chills this might be for you; if that makes you squirm in your seat, you might want to skip this one.
I will not be revealing any of the plot of The Whisper Man in order to keep this review spoiler free. However, I will be discussing the themes that some might find triggering in order to help in your decision to read the book: Kidnapping Murder Alcoholism Death of a family member Abandonment I found all of these themes vital to the story, and I was not turned off by any of them.
I am going to preface this review by stating that it is going to be different from my other reviews in that 1) It was not a five star review for me and 2) I do not want to give any of the plot away. I really feel like the reader should go into The Perfect Wife blind, and based off the inside cover summary it seems that the author feels the same way.
